Rasmina Brings Self-Confidence and Prosperity in Her Pop-Fusion Sound

BAKU, AZERBAIJAN -- A childhood dream makes Rasmina music so important--it’s been decades in the making. After setting aside recording and her music aspirations aside to study International Relations and work at the World Bank, she put creativity back into her career-establishing her successful jewelry line Resm. But music kept calling Rasmina, and three years back she decided to listen.

“I always knew that I’m good at music,” says Rasmina. “I can play piano by ear if I hear music. I can just play it for the first time without even looking at the instrument. This is my natural skill.”

Rasmina was raised in a traditional family, but had been composing music since she was 3-years-old. Growing up, she attended the music program at her school, and helped set up the drama club in college. Entertainment had always been a part of her life and after many years of feeling unsatisfied while enduring personal hardships.

Rasmina’s latest single “Power of the Flower” is about the dynamic of masculine and feminine energy that she sees playing a role in both the business side and musical sides of her career. It is a mixture of pop, fusion, and jazz-a compelling anthem with theatrical tones that Rasmina says she is introducing alongside a jewelry line.

“Now that I have two mediums of creative life the power of flower was the first Song for my collection I”m going to present. It’s about different types of flowers that symbolizes various women’s personalities and as a symbol of your energy.”

And while balancing her career, releasing another single “Hey I Love You” that talks about self-love, and looking to release a 5-song EP in the future, Rasmina is taking on all of her goals with a confidence heard in her voice.

“Three years ago I understood that you cannot run away from yourself. This is something that you like and If you do it it’s not that you don’t have enough — you just do it and you see how it goes. And who don't you don’t give any excuses like I’m not professional or I wasn’t doing it all my life, if I start now will I be good enough? Little bits by bits I was taking small steps to. And it was more like believing in myself.”
