Pure Energy is back in motion with the release of iconic new single ‘Midnight Magic’

The members of Pure Energy met in a club in 1974, now almost 50 years later, the members Lisa Stevens, Raymond Hudson and Curtis Hudson are still collaborating with a traditional Funky sound. Though the band has stepped away over time, they are back and excited to share their music on their terms.

The most recent project the band has released is a single called “Midnight Magic”. The song, originally written in the eighties, is all about letting your hair down after the set is over. “Spending all our evenings on the stage, the night never really started until after midnight for us anyway,” the band explained. “Plus midnight was always the time where the real fun happened.”

This song is a true reminder of the best that the eighties had to offer, with a classic Funky sound, real instruments and an incredible, high energy sound. “We want this song to be something you can dance or snap your fingers to,” Stevens explained. “Let your hair down and really enjoy the old school feel of it.” This song is filled with nothing but Pure Energy.

While the band is filled with inspiration and skill, they have not always been so freely empowered. Back in the eighties, when the band was first releasing music and attaching themselves to a record label, they were boxed into the club world of Disco. While this had an impact on the band back then, they are now back and truly expressing themselves with a Funky, Soulful beat that separates them from the modern sound in a truly incredible way.

Following the release of “Midnight Magic”, the members of Pure Energy are excited to continue sharing from their big book of songs. “There are so many songs that we’ve written over the years that we’re looking forward to sharing,” said Stevens. “There are so many that we think the public will love!” The band is also looking forward to the “Midnight Magic” music video, as well as some of their own personal projects.

Pure Energy is thankful for their long term supporters, especially those who have been with them since their first release. They welcome new friends and are looking forward to connecting with those who are just starting to support the band.
