Regal Rapstar Gets Real with Raw New Release

Things were going pretty well for Regal Rapstar. After becoming the master of the mixed tape, releasing several bangers over the years, the California-based artist, who likens himself to MC of the Future, was attracting mad interest from the music industry, mingling with celebs in Los Angeles, and loving exactly where his career was going—until the pandemic put everyone and everything on hold. Fast forward to 2024, and Regal Rapstar is back at it, this time, with a relatable diss track “F the Coronavirus” and a documentary/scrapbook-style video that’s as real as it gets.

Written and produced during the dark days of lockdown, “F the Coronavirus” remains as painfully relevant as ever, given the relentless resurgence of COVID-19 in recent months. Set against a chill, yet haunting beat, the bars are like a motivational battle cry that sneaks up on you with attacking rhythmic precision.

“For those that don’t know, corona means crown in Spanish
That crown virus

F the Coronavirus, I want to knock you out
Like Holyfield did Tyson…”

Later in the song, he delivers the knockout punch:

“Better yet, I want to let the whole world know
I want to disinfect you and kill you.”

While the lyrics have somewhat of a light vibe, Regal Rapstar is not shy about acknowledging the seriousness of the health epidemic. He shares that he wants to help humanity and for “F the Coronavirus” to give people hope. “The song will always be relevant because it is something that happened to all of us. We won’t forget and can all relate to it,” he says. “Ultimately, the message of the song is to encourage, to inspire, and to remind people to keep on going.”

Since dropping “F the Coronavirus,” Regal Rapstar continues to build momentum, reaching new audiences far and wide. As for F the Coronavirus, it’s the heart of an EP of the same name featuring three other tracks that show his versatility, including “Sci-Fi Sur Ga,” “Sci-Fi Sur Ga Remix,” and “Doggystyle.”
