Freemvson releases “Shmoke” and that is just the tip of the iceberg for up-and-coming hip-hop artist

Freemvson has been busy in the studio and out on road putting out his music for the listeners to get down to, and now he has a new single out, “Shmoke,” that the Dayton based hip-hop artist bled his soul into with some bouncy beats.

“I’ve always been into music, since I was young,” the 27-year-old rapper and producer explained. “I didn’t really get into music production or recording ’til 2016, and that’s when I ran into a friend from high school. The producer’s name is Ca$he, and actually he is the producer of my song, “Shmoke.”

“Shmoke” was inspired first by a beat by Ca$he that Freemvson thought was fire and decided put words to it. While he was writing, he was going through a breakup and life was just tough overall.

“I was like, damn I’m going through shit, I’m just going to put it on paper,” Freemvson said. “I just was spewing a little bit of hate, I guess. So I just kind of turned it into this catchy thing.”

The beat was already named “Shmoke,” and Freemvson built around this theme. He wrote some bars to it and released a track that he said he has received plenty of praise for. It has been played in clubs in his area, and when it sounds good and clear in the club it is a good indicator of a solid track.

He said it was a chance meeting where he was out with some girls and happened to come across his old friend from high school, Ca$he. They hung out and talked music and Freemvson was impressed by all his music he showed him, and one day he was able to record on his mic. The two have been working together from then on.

“We made so many songs, dropped videos and just made music,” Freemvson said. “I did my first show… damn I’ve done so many shows now I don’t even remember where my first show was. I think it was Sneaky D’s, this little local local area. I’ve been doing it ever since. Never stopped.”

Freemvson grew up in the streets of Dayton, OH, in a single parent home struggling to make ends meet. He is working to “break generation curses” and has already put out an album “Freemason” that was number 13 on Billboard’s “Heatseeker Chart” and also 35th on the “Hottest New Independent Album” chart. He has been writing since he was 10-years-old and has performed all over the country in cities like Denver, Cleveland and Cincinnati. Freemvson studied at The Recording Connection and is a certified audio engineer and music producer. He apprenticed under renowned audio engineer Ron Pease, known for working with artists like Public Enemy and the Ohio Players.

Now Freemvson is in Hollywood playing shows at spots like Members Only, writing and recording. He also has another single to be released on Nov. 17 called “One Chance” and there is plenty on the horizon.

“I have a shitload of tracks right now,” he said. “So when I find my audience, my fan base and people who support me, I can go at it hard for them.

He added, “I want to drop quality, timeless music for ya’ll to listen to, for anyone to listen to.”
