The new album Play arrives Sept. 12.
Ed Sheeran’s incredible 2025 continues to grow as he adds more U.K. and European shows to his ongoing world tour, with new dates planned for the end of the year.
As Sheeran prepares to release his eighth studio album, Play , next week (Sept. 12), the singer-songwriter has revealed that he will bring his live show to select arenas this December. The five-show run will open at Zenith in Paris on Dec. 1, then head to Munich, Coventry, Manchester, and Dublin over the following week. The full schedule is listed below.
Tickets for the new dates will first be offered through an artist presale on Sept. 9 at 10 a.m. (BST), with registration available on Sheeran’s official website. General tickets will then go on sale Sept. 11 at 10 a.m. (BST).
Announcing the intimate run on Instagram, Sheeran told fans: “These shows will be more intimate than a stadium show, obvz [sic], but still will be incredible. I love playing these venues so much.”
These concerts will act as a warm-up for his upcoming 2026 Loop stadium tour in Australia and New Zealand, which begins in Auckland on Jan. 16. While details remain limited, Sheeran has already teased that the Loop shows will feature a brand-new stage production. “New stage, new tricks, new setup, new songs, and all the classics added in,” he wrote back in July.
In the months leading up to the release of Play, Sheeran has been performing across Europe with his Mathematics tour, including a summer leg that featured three special homecoming concerts at Portman Road, home of his beloved Ipswich Town F.C.
In April, he unveiled the record’s vibrant lead single “Azizam,” which climbed to No. 3 on the Official U.K. Singles Chart. At the time, Sheeran described Play as “a real rollercoaster of emotions from start to finish,” explaining that his aim was “to create joy and technicolour.”
The Official Charts Company notes that Sheeran has scored 43 top 10 singles so far, including his recent track Sapphire, which peaked at No. 5. Altogether, his songs have spent 323 weeks in the U.K. top 10, equal to six years, since his major label debut with “The A Team” in 2011.
