Stormzy and Kehlani Pay Tribute to Late Musician Talah Riley

 and Kehlani are among the artists who have shared messages of support following the death of singer songwriter Talah Riley.

The 35 year old, born Mark Orabiyi, was discovered with stab wounds in a garden in the Silvertown area of East London on Friday 5 June in the morning. He was later confirmed dead at the scene.

Riley had contributed to music for a wide range of global artists including Dua Lipa, Britney Spears, Ellie Goulding, Nick Jonas and Chipmunk, and was credited as part of major hits such as Khalid's Young Dumb & Broke, The Chainsmokers' Who Do You Love, H.E.R.'s Lights On, FLO's Walk Like This and Kehlani's Out The Window.

His brother, producer and songwriter Michael Orabiyi, posted a tribute on Instagram that quickly drew messages of sympathy from across the music industry.

"I'm sorry bro," Stormzy wrote alongside heart emojis in the comments, while Kehlani posted, "Big hugs scribz i'm so sorry."

Other artists also shared their condolences. Wretch 32 wrote, "Sending love to you & your family bro. Your brother was a gem & will be missed & never forgotten, Never! R.I.P," while Keisha Buchanan added, "Sending my condolences and prayers (heart) so very sorry (prayer emoji)," and Khalid commented, "Im so sorrry bro... im sending you so much love (sic)."

Aston Merrygold and Oritse Williams of JLS, both of whom had worked with Riley, also shared messages of support, with Merrygold sending "nothing but love" and Williams offering "strength and prayers" to the family.

In connection with the investigation, three people were initially arrested on suspicion of murder. A man and a woman aged 24 and 25 were later released with no further action, while a 27 year old man was released on bail as enquiries continue.

A separate man in his 20s is currently receiving hospital treatment for multiple stab wounds. Police have confirmed his injuries are not considered life threatening.

Detective Chief Inspector Joanna Yorke of the Metropolitan Police said in a statement, "Our investigation continues at pace. I would like to appeal for anyone who was in the area at the time of this incident to speak to police.

"We are particularly interested in hearing from anyone who might have CCTV or other footage from the morning of the incident that could assist our investigation."
